Palestra: Collective Intelligence-based Problem-Solving in Social Project Management

Resumo/Summary: This presentation will review the state of the art, novel theories and methologies to understand the benefits of collective intelligence analysis on problem-solvings related to social project management. Collective intelligence aims to explore group intelligence using knowledge extraction methods, by exploiting the semantic links between problems, methods for solving them and the people who could solve them.  The presentation will include some showcases where interdisciplinary and interdependent human actors can share know-how and problem-solving best practices.

Bio: Dr. Hab. Frederic Andres received his Ph.D. in Information systems from the University of Paris VI "Pierre et Marie Curie" in 1993 and his Dr.Habilitation in Informatics from the University of Nantes in 2000. He has been an ISO member since 2000  regarding MPEG7 and TOPIC MAPS.FredericAndres  has been associate professor in the Digital Content and Media Sciences Research Division of the National Institute of Informatics (NII)in Tokyo, Japan since 2000.  He is visiting scientist at CTI since 2013. He is author of more than 150 papers on international journals, books and conferences. Frederic Andres has coordinated and participated in several European, Japanese, and international research projects. He is member of the Science without Border" research project "Collective Intelligence for Project Management in collaborative Systems" no 400730/2012-0 (CNPq) 2012-2015He has organised several international events (Scientific conferences, workshops, contests). His main research areas of interest are: Collective Intelligence-based community management, Collective Intelligence computing, Metaphor Interaction, Geomedia Systems, Collective Intelligence-based Medical Systems, Problem-solving and Open Innovation, Social Semantics, semantic computing, SaaS and Cloud computing, Web 2.0/3.0, social project management systems, Social Networks, Internet of the future, Digital ecosystems, Information engine, Mulsemedia Interaction.
